We’ve seen a lot of Volkswagens running Rota wheels in the past few years, and one of our most-favourite builds is the Kenwood Electronics 2013 VW Beetle. Running our 19×9.5in ET20 (front) and 19×10.5in ET20 (rear) Grid Drifts, this Beetle is stanced to perfection thanks to a full Airlift Performance suspension setup anda full IRS (independant rear suspension) conversion allowing the wheels to camber-in and tuck once lowered. Make sure you grab the June 2013 issue of Performance VW for a full 7-page feature on this super-cool car!
BMW x Rota Wheels
In the past few years we’ve seen more and more BMW models opting for aggressive-fitting, Japanese-style wheels from Rota. In fact, we now offer a wide range of BMW-specific 5×120 designs including the popular Grid Drift pictured below! We’re loving the track-style E36 M3 running our 18in version, but how about the super-cool F30 sitting on 19×8.5in and 19×9.5in? It’s a tough decision – which would you choose?
Reader’s rides: Dan Underwood’s Mk4 R32
Check out this awesome Mk4 Golf R32 wearing our 18in VW-fitment Grid Drift! Dan Underwood has done an amazing job styling this Golf into something fresh and unique – we’re loving the carbon front wings and splitter which give an almost jap-style vibe. Amuse-kitted S2000 for sale
Powerhouse Amuse in Japan produce quite possible the best-looking S2000 bodykit money can buy right now. For such a crazy kit which just about replaces every single panel of the car, it’s look at fitment is spot-on, resembling more of a JGTC racing S2000 now rather than the standard convertible!
This particular example you see here belongs to Alex, and it’s currently up for sale for £10,995 – a bit of a bargain when you consider it’s a 2004 model with just 50K on the clock and the bodykit/fitting/painting equaits to nearly the full asking price! Alex has finished the car off with a set of 18in Rota Fighters finished in silver which do a great job of filling out the super-wide arches. Random snap: Nissan S14a x 18x11in Rota MXR
Here at Rota we produce a wide range of wheels for the Nissan S14a guaranteed to give a perfect fitment without modification. However, we also produce some seriously aggressive widths and offsets such as the 18x11in Rota MXR pictured below, and despite the need for overfenders we’ve got to admit they look absolutely badass once fitted!
Kurt Blackie’s R32 Skyline @ D1NZ
We are LOVING this awesome Skyline posted by the guys at Rota Wheels NZ! Owned and built by Kurt Blackie it runs out 17×9.5in ET -19 Rota RB-X all round for a seriously aggressive fitment and a perfect hard-parked stance too. Love the job mate, keep up the good work! Also cheers for repping the Rota stickers all over, you’re a legend! Photo credit to Fazyluck
VW Corrado x 15in Rota Aleica
We’ve got a LOT of time for cool Volkswagens here at Rota Wheels. Very few scenes have such importance focused around the wheels, and it’s the main reason why we’ve introduced a massive range of VAG-fitment wheels in the past few years. One great example of this is the stunning Corrado you see pictured below running our 15in Aleica wheel – a proper JDM-inspired wheel which looks just at home on this Euro hatch! Driftworks R32 – Release the evil!
It seems the guys over at Driftworks are absolutley loving the new Rota MXR, and it’s not hard to see why given how good they look on just about anything! The ‘back up’ R32 drift car has always been overshadowed by its big brother, the Driftworks S15, but with that now sold it’s time for this Toyota-powered monster to shine once again! Check out what Phil Morrison had to say about getting this monster back on the road.
Wheeldude’s 2002 Subaru WRX
Imprezas aren’t always the easiest cars to fit wide, aggressive wheels to, so it’s always awesome to see one breaking the norm especially using Rota wheels in the process! As the North American distributor for Rota, Wheeldude.com are constantly changing the setup on their 2002 WRX (as you’d expect) and we absolutely LOVE the latest guise.
